Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 29, 2026 Website: https://thevacationedit.com

THE VACATION EDIT (“The Vacation Edit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the website located at https://thevacationedit.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit a contact form, request a consultation, book a call, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Property address or location
  • Property details, photographs, and project information you choose to share
  • The content of your messages, inquiries, and consultation notes

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time spent, referring URLs, and links clicked
  • Cookie and similar identifiers

Information from third parties. If you reach us through a social media platform, advertising platform, listing site, or scheduling tool, we may receive limited information from that platform in accordance with its own privacy policy and your settings there.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not collect payment card details through the Site. Any payments for services are processed through a separate third-party processor under its own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations
  • Provide, perform, and manage our design and rental-launch services
  • Send you transactional communications about an active engagement
  • Send marketing communications, where you have consented
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
  • Analyze Site traffic and understand how visitors use our content
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Text Messages and Email Communications

If you provide your phone number through a form on the Site, you consent to receive calls and text messages from The Vacation Edit regarding your inquiry and our services.

  • Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
  • You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for assistance.
  • You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in any such email.
  • Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages related to an active project or engagement.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep the Site functioning, and measure performance. These may include:

  • Essential cookies, required for the Site to operate
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand traffic and usage patterns
  • Advertising cookies, which may be used to measure or serve ads if we run advertising campaigns

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no common industry standard for responding to it, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — website hosting, form and CRM software, email and SMS delivery, scheduling, analytics, and payment processing. These providers may access your information only to perform services for us.
  • Professional advisors, such as accountants, insurers, and attorneys, where reasonably necessary.
  • Legal compliance and protection — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent — for example, if you agree to appear in a testimonial, case study, or portfolio feature.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Project Photography and Testimonials

Our work is visual, and completed projects are often featured on the Site and in marketing materials. If you engage us for services, any use of photographs of your property, your name, or your testimonial will be governed by your written service agreement or your separate consent. You may request that we stop using a testimonial attributed to you going forward by contacting us.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to maintain business records, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Inquiry information from prospects who do not become clients is retained for a reasonable period for follow-up and record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own risk.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising (note: we do not sell personal information)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To make a request, email hello@thevacationedit.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider.

Residents of California, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, as well as individuals in the EEA or UK, may have additional rights under those laws.

10. Third-Party Websites and Platforms

The Site may link to or embed third-party services, including social media, booking and listing platforms, scheduling tools, and mapping services. We do not control those services, and this Policy does not apply to them. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party service you use.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Material changes will be identified where practical. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
